“Pirate Park” – Charleson Park Playground & Garden: 900 School Green, Vancouver, BC

This park is great because it’s right on the seawall and has beautiful views!

*Expert Tip- Bring an extra jacket to sit on when you go down the big slide.. makes you go even faster! Note than in some seasons the slide is slow and sometimes is extra fast! Don’t send your little ones down for the first time without being near the bottom to catch.

Granville Island Water Park- 1318 Cartwright St, Vancouver, BC

Often an ice cream truck is parked next to the water park which is the perfect refreshment on a hot day.

*Expert Tip- During the summer when the slide is open, take advantage of a cooler (slightly rainy day) and enjoy the free water slide with no lines- you’re going to get wet anyways!

Mount Pleasant Park-  3161 Ontario St, Vancouver, BC

This park is awesome, with two playgrounds leaving tons of space for the kids to play!

*Expert Tip- Often a food truck is parked along West 16th Ave and you can have a picnic at the park. Or pick up a pizza from Firewood Pizza (3004 Cambie St, Vancouver, BC V5Z 2V9). Either way, a family picnic in the park is a must!
