As coffee addicts ourselves, we love checking out the hot coffee shops around the city to see what all the rave is about. In Vancouver there is no shortage of coffee shops to choose from, which brought us to curate a list of our current favourite coffee spots in the city, in our opinion. Here is a Resident Experts guide of the top coffee shops to check out:
Prototype Coffee- 883 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC
More of a newcomer to the Vancouver coffee scene, located in Strathcona this place has already picked up a lot of attention. There is plenty to choose from, with over a dozen different coffee beans the coffee menu is designed to feature a wide variety of top quality coffees. To top it off this place has killer waffle donuts- the killer combo!
Expert Tip: Check out their tasting room, with some many beans to choose from this is a great way to try out a variety in one sitting!

Nemesis Coffee- 302 W Hastings St, Vancouver, BC
It’s the coffee and cookies at Nemesis in Gastown. Named one of the best coffee shops you can find in town, this place is worth it! Try some of their pour overs or espresso, pair with their stunningly luscious chocolate cookie. * Chefs kiss *
Expert Tip: Check out the amazing patio at the Great Northern Way location.
Our Recommendation: Try one of their delicious Dope Bakehouse Cruffins.
Small Victory – 1088 Homer St, Vancouver, BC
Okay we may be a little biased as we are regulars here.. But they make damn good coffee! Not only is the coffee amazing, you will be salivating with all the delicious baked goods and fresh bread on display. Coffee paired with their chocolate croissant is a must. Thank us later!
Expert Tip: Grab a seat at the bar and take in all the action.
Our Recommendation: Morning glory oats are a must!
Revolver Coffee- 325 Cambie St, Vancouver, BC
Simple and to the point, this coffee spot knows how to make excellent coffee with a simplified menu. Sometimes more if less, especially when you’ve got killer coffee beans which are sourced from the best roasters around North America. A must try is their tasty latte with a perfect layer of micro-foam. There’s a reason this place gets a lot of hype!
